All applicants are expected to meet the California State Community College Minimum Qualifications for Engineering Technology instructors (below). Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee employment or an interview

School: Mathematics and Science, Chaffey College General Function: Instruct introductory course in engineering graphics with an emphasis on AutoCAD and provide mentorship, and leadership to students. Course Description: This course covers the principles of engineering drawings in visually communicating engineering designs and an introduction to computer-aided design (CAD). Topics include the development of visualization skills, orthographic projections, mechanical dimensioning and tolerancing practices, and the engineering design process.

Assignments develop sketching and 2D and 3D CAD skills. Application of geometric tolerancing (ANSI Y14.5). The use of CAD software is an integral part of the course

Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master's in any field of engineering or engineering technology; OR Bachelor's degree in either of the above AND a Master's degree in physics, mathematics, computer science, biological science or chemistry; OR Bachelor's degree in industrial technology, engineering technology or engineering AND a professional engineer's license; OR The equivalent; AND Demonstrated evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds in a community college environment. MEETING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS DOES NOT ASSURE THE CANDIDATE OF AN INTERVIEW.
