Description

Premier Pump & Power is a leading manufacturer of custom-engineered pump solutions. We specialize in large, trailer-mounted industrial and wastewater pump packages, delivering best-in-class performance, serviceability, and built-in quality. We proudly serve customers nationwide from our headquarters in Vancouver, Washington and manufacturing facility in Spring, Texas.

We are seeking a creative and hands-on Temporary Summer Graphic Design Intern to create visual materials for sales, operations, and internal communication needs. This internship is a great opportunity for a student or early-career designer to gain real-world experience in a fast-moving manufacturing environment, including both digital design and hands-on sign, decal, label, print, and vinyl graphics work.

This position will help develop visual materials from concept through finished use, with feedback and direction from company leadership and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on a variety of projects, learning new equipment and processes, and creating clean, professional designs that support the company’s brand and business needs.

This is an on-site position located in Vancouver, Washington.

Responsibilities
  • Create and format marketing materials, sales collateral, product sheets, presentations, flyers, advertisements, and other branded materials
  • Develop visual assets for the company website, social media, email communications, and other digital platforms
  • Edit and prepare images, graphics, icons, templates, and layouts for print and digital use
  • Design and prepare print-ready files for signs, decals, labels, vinyl graphics, and other printed materials
  • Operate company sign-making, printing, cutting, and vinyl graphics equipment after appropriate training
  • Produce, laminate, cut, and prepare vinyl graphics, decals, labels, and signage as needed
  • Update existing documents and templates to improve layout, readability, consistency, and visual appeal
  • Help maintain consistency with company branding, including logos, colors, fonts, image use, and overall visual style
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations to understand project needs and create appropriate visual materials
  • Organize and maintain design files, templates, brand assets, print files, and image libraries
  • Review proofs and finished materials for accuracy, quality, sizing, alignment, spelling, and brand consistency
  • Take direction and feedback from team members and revise designs as needed
  • Support additional marketing, communications, signage, vinyl graphics, or administrative projects as assigned
Qualifications
  • Education: Current enrollment in or recent graduate of a Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or Marketing program (or equivalent experience).
  • Design Skills: Solid grasp of core design principles (typography, layout, color, hierarchy) for both digital and print media.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with design tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Detail & Precision: High attention to detail regarding sizing, alignment, spelling, and file organization.
  • Mindset: Eager to learn hands-on vinyl/sign production equipment, open to constructive feedback, and possess strong communication skills.
  • Bonus Points: An interest in B2B marketing, manufacturing, or industrial products.

Employment will be conditioned upon passing a drug screen and background check.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Primarily office-based position with hands-on use of sign-making, printing, cutting, and vinyl graphics equipment
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Frequent use of computer, design software, printers, cutters, and related graphics equipment
  • May require standing, bending, reaching, and using hands for detailed tasks such as trimming materials, applying decals, or preparing signs
  • Must be able to occasionally move or lift materials up to 25 pounds
  • May occasionally visit shop or manufacturing areas, where standard safety requirements may apply
Schedule & Compensation
  • Full-time temporary summer internship, duration not to exceed 90 calendar days
  • Schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Compensation is $22-$25 per hour, depending on skill level and experience
