The Role
As an Principal Advanced Displays Specialist, you will play a critical role in shaping how customers interact with and interpret complex operational data. You will design and implement highly functional, user-friendly, and visually compelling Human-Machine Interface (HMI) display systems. Working in a collaborative environment, you'll use advanced design tools and techniques to influence key aspects of the customer experience and project success.
Your Impact
  • Prepare detailed, technically accurate display system designs and schematics based on project requirements, sketches, verbal instructions, and engineering notes.
  • Develop, configure, and review display systems to ensure alignment with industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality controls.
  • Design and implement intuitive and functional HMI (Human-Machine Interface) layouts optimized for situational awareness.
  • Maintain current knowledge of advanced display technologies and design procedures.
  • Perform design assignments using cutting-edge techniques and tools.
  • Produce high-quality display systems with minimal supervision.
  • Utilize advanced tools and software for display design, including AutoCAD, Visio, SmartDraw, and specialized display design software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of display systems.
  • Implement and troubleshoot display systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers and internal teams on display systems.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in display technology and incorporate them into design practices.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Computer Drafting and Design, Display Technology, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • Experience with advanced display system design and implementation.
  • Foundational understanding of programming concepts.
  • Design and develop intuitive UI/UX solutions that enhance user interaction and streamline the overall product experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio, SmartDraw, Adobe Illustrator, or other CAD tools.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization, object-oriented screen development, and hierarchical display navigation.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Comfortable in a client-facing role with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • General office setting with flexibility to travel to customer sites as needed.
  • Experience with utility/industrial plant display systems.
  • Design/engineering experience with advanced display technologies.
  • Experience with 3D modeling software and virtual/augmented reality technologies.
  • Familiarity with ISA101 HMI Design Standardsand Situational Awareness display design principles
  • Certification in relevant display design or technology fields.
  • Familiarity with GIS models.
  • Ability to read and understand code.

The salary range for this role is $99,400.00 - $124,300.00. This range represents what we in good faith believe is the range possible for base compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors. This range may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, charitable giveback day, medical/dental/vision insurance, and retirement benefits to eligible employees.
