Job Description:
The Forensic Manager for Forensic Managed Services (FMS) is responsible for the operational supervision and management of an on-site eDiscovery collection team, managing tasks and deliverables, developing project schedules, and all other work involved in managing ESI collection requests. This includes ensuring client requirements are defined and met throughout the project and managing priorities and assignments for a team of Forensic Consultants/Analysts. The Forensic Manager will serve as the principal liaison between the company and the client, will provide excellent client service, and will continuously look for opportunities to increase the efficiency of our service operation.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
  • Provides expert level confident, clear, effective communication with both the client and collection/forensics team through all forms of communication including direct contact, conference calls, e-mail, etc.
  • Manages client communications (both oral and written) with an expectation that all communication must be clear, concise, and well-written.
  • Works closely with the forensic team to ensure accurate and timely completion of all requests.
  • Provides excellent client service to all end-users.
  • Continuously looks for opportunities to increase the efficiency of our service operation.
  • Seeks opportunities to increase our capabilities and make recommendations.
  • Works with management to determine best practices for collection/forensics projects.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in explaining all products, services, turnaround times, and delivery schedules.
  • Hires, manages, and evaluates all personnel.
  • Delegates tasks to meet all commitments and performs collection and forensic tasks as necessary.
  • Schedules personnel to ensure compliance with performance standards within contracted hours of operation.
  • Maintains all records and reports pertaining to production and volumes at the site.
  • Maintains a proper inventory of all forensic lab supplies required for all support services.
  • Compiles and collects all information necessary to provide the client with monthly management reports.
  • Displays high ethical standard, integrity, and work ethic.
  • Acts as an escalation point for client concerns and issues, works with the client and the forensic/collection team to develop an action plan to alleviate client concerns. Make decisions as appropriate and further escalate when necessary.
  • Attends client meetings as required.
  • After-hours support and additional responsibilities as required.

Required Characteristics:
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; IT or digital forensic certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of five years forensic, legal and/or business management experience
  • Knowledge of litigation discovery best practices involving consulting, collections, and processing, specifically for large, complex, multi-party matters
  • Must possess the ability to interact effectively with different levels of client contacts (technical staff, paralegals, and partners).
  • Advanced understanding of data collection and computer forensic tools; EnCase, FTK, Cellebrite, etc. and at least one commercial litigation processing and review platform; Relativity, iConnect, Clearwell, IPRO eCapture, or NUIX
  • Advanced understanding of the EDRM model in support of litigation
  • Advanced computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, MS Project, and SharePoint
  • Excellent relationship building skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining proper priorities and scheduling.

    The Compensation range for this role is $100,000.00 to $140,000.00 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus.
