JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Lead Quality Assurance/Testing for a defined area of responsibility to successfully and consistently deliver high-quality software products and services on time, on budget, and to specification. Interact with Product Management, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations teams to plan delivery of products and enhancements and to assure products meet requirements and quality standards. Implement processes that enable efficient delivery and maintenance. Balance deployment of resources within group as necessary to support priorities. Identify opportunities for automation or other utilities and work within the framework of the QA/Test team to fulfill these needs. Implement and cooperate in the enhancement of the methodologies employed for test planning and execution, defect tracking, and metric and status reporting. Manage continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices. Identify areas for cooperation and, with peers or others, implement initiatives improving overall capability and efficiency. Lead or participate in initiatives to identify and implement tools and utilities that enhance testing capabilities and product quality. Work with QA/Testing staff, project managers, technical leads, and subject matter experts to plan and execute automated and performance tests. Ensure that testing addresses requirements as agreed with other stakeholders. Work with architects, developers, and network and system engineers to research and identify root causes of performance issues. Serve as subject matter expert in the configuration, maintenance, and/or administration of testing tools or environments. Suggest process improvements that enable efficient delivery and maintenance with consistent direction. Maintain flexibility to react quickly to changes in priorities or circumstances to meet the needs of the business. Report issues and results, researching and identifying root causes as appropriate, documenting accordingly. Maintain awareness of the state of the industry and evaluate emerging trends/developments that may benefit the organization. Conduct project reviews, ensuring review criteria are defined, and implement procedures for ensuring quality control of project deliverables. Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensure all staff is provided with training and resources needed to perform their jobs to the most outstanding degree possible. Ensure all staff is provided with frequent feedback and coaching in order to meet and exceed individual and team performance goals consistently. Manage and encourage new ideas from staff to foster improvements through innovations. Empower the staff to be accountable and responsible for their own actions and decisions. REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field required.
  • 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
  • Also required is: 5 years of experience: in test strategy and test management including test planning, test case design, test lifecycle management, defect tracking, traceability matrices, release gating, and quality metrics/reporting using Xray, JIRA, Confluence, Version 1, HP ALM; building test automation and framework design, including development and maintenance of reusable automated test frameworks for web, mobile and API testing using C#/Java and integration of automation into CI/CD pipelines using industry standard tool like Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, NUnit, RestAssured, RestSharp, Groovy, PostMan Cucumber; CI: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI; performance, scalability and reliability testing, including planning and executing load/stress tests, capacity planning, bottleneck identification and root-cause analysis in collaboration with architects and engineers using industry standard tools like JMeter, LoadRunner and building performance dashboard using AWS Grafana and OpenSearch; maintaining, administering and automating test environments and infrastructure to support scalable, repeatable testing and rapid delivery; and scripting, tooling and quality engineering leadership, including development of automation utilities and test tooling, API and security testing, process improvement and mentoring/hiring/training QA staff while driving cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement using Groovy/Python, Postman/SOAPUI, Agile/SAFe, Dual Scrum.
