Job description

Ignite Digital is seeking a motivated Engineer/Scientist Intern to support US Navy Software maintenance opportunity in the Norfolk, VA area. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates who are passionate about engineering, emerging technologies, and mission-driven problem solving. Interns will work alongside experienced engineers and scientists to assist with research, development, modeling, and systems support tasks that directly contribute to Navy and joint operational capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support engineering and scientific tasks related to project requirements
  • Assist with development, modeling, analysis, and testing activities
  • Conduct research, gather technical data, and help prepare project documentation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project objectives
  • Learn and apply engineering or technical methodologies under guidance from senior staff
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the effort

Required Qualifications:
Education:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in one of the following fields:
    Engineering, Physics, Network Security, Information Systems, or Computer Science
    OR
  • Student Interns: At least 90 credit hours completed toward a BS degree in one of the fields listed above with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance
