Job Title: Tier 1 App Support

JOB PURPOSE:
The Tier 1 App Support role is an entry-level role providing support for Enterprise Freight applications.
CRITICAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Triage support requests and issues from users.
  • Define application problem(s)/issues(s) by solving for problems within the system and not symptoms of a situation.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting assessments to reproduce issues and work effectively to the root cause.
  • Review logs for any indication of system errors.
  • Create JIRA card for the product team to prioritize for the developer.
  • Report defects to system developers with specific criteria used to reproduce the defect.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associates Degree in Computer Science or similar field
  • Familiar with concepts of ticket management systems (JIRA lt; Pivotal, Kanban, MS TFS)
  • Advanced problem solving/troubleshooting skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with a mainstream development language C#, JAVA, etc.
  • Basic code troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • Proficient with Git source code repositories
