Description
Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures, and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. With design, sales, and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits' products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement, and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea, and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.
Mini-Circuits sells our products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.
Position Summary:
The Production Test Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production test team. They ensure the efficient and accurate testing of products, compliance with quality standards, and the maintenance of testing equipment. The Team Leader coordinates with the production and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, improve testing processes, and optimize product quality.
Job Function:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the production test team.
  • Ensure adherence to testing procedures and quality standards during the testing process.
  • Monitor and maintain the calibration of testing equipment and ensure its proper functioning.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide guidance to the team in resolving testing-related problems.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to improve testing processes and enhance product quality.
  • Train and mentor team members on testing procedures, equipment operation, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Implement corrective actions to address any deviations from quality standards and production schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations during the testing process.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of test results, equipment maintenance, and any issues encountered during testing.
  • Promote ISO Policies and awareness to our Team Members.
  • Review and prepared documents for ECO's

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • To act and provide results on any job-related activity as assigned by the Manager or Supervisor.
  • Recommend W.O.W or thumbs up nominees for outstanding performance.
  • To access files necessary for Production testing.
  • Enforce Department rules and regulation per documented procedure!
  • Alert management when Departmental output Goals are not Met.
  • Review and Approved drawings and / or QC sheet
  • Stop production run in process when there is a problem or reliability concerns.
  • Enforce Department Policies and Procedure and ensure Members are complying.
  • Authority to accept and release Product to the next Manufacturing operation.
  • Communicate with Design Engineers to resolve problems with Qualification runs or Production runs.

The duties, responsibilities and expectations described above are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned to the member, within the scope of the position.
Qualifications:
  • 2 Years College degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least two years of work experience in manufacturing companies.
  • Ability to read, writes, and orally communicates in English.
  • Must be able to complete simple flow charts related to Production Test Department processes.
  • Ability to use RF test equipment.
  • Ability to prepare Test report for Supervisor or Manager review.
  • Ability to move Test equipment occasionally (when required) for setup preparation or during Test equipment Calibration cycle.
  • Ability to distinguish colors in accordance with ISHIHARA test for color blindness.
  • Ability to work independently with another department Team Leaders to resolve Test related issues.
  • Ability to train entry level or current Test Members on departmental activities.
  • Gives honest and constructive feedback to other Team Members.
  • Provides the necessary assistance to Team Members when requested efficiently and professionally.

Preferences - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities that are not required but are preferred:
  • Completion of a course in Team Leader training.
