Weโ€™re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Entry-Level Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of pharmaceutical packaging equipment. Colanar LLC, an Addtronics company is a leader in automated pharmaceutical fill and finish equipment, committed to advancing healthcare manufacturing with innovative and reliable engineering solutions. We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and help drive the future of packaging equipment for the pharmaceutical industry!

Responsibilities:

Design & Development

  • Create 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks). Collaborate with vendors to select components and resolve manufacturing challenges, all while staying within budget.

Prototyping & Testing

  • Support the testing and validation of mechanical components to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work alongside electrical engineers, project managers, and assembly technicians throughout the design and build process. Provide hands-on support during assembly and participate in project reviews.

Documentation

  • Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including BOMs, recommended parts lists, and technical reports.

Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in internal design reviews and contribute ideas to improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure all designs adhere to pharmaceutical industry standards (cGMP, FDA, ISO).

Customer Communication

  • Interact with customers during design reviews, project updates, and factory acceptance testing to ensure expectations are met.s.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and mechanical drawing standards
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Compensation:

Base Salary: 65k-75k

Previous internship, job, or project experience in automation or machine design is a plus but not required.
