Job description

Ardurra is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer to join our Land Development team in our Charlotte, NC location!

Our civil engineers, urban planners, and staff scientists work together daily to plan and create sustainable human environments by offering comprehensive land development services ranging from due diligence and master planning to design and construction administration and beyond.

Primary Function:

This position provides the opportunity to work on a variety of projects. Whether itโ€™s a residential community, a new city park, commercial complex, industrial site, data center, or an institutional facility, our team of professionals has the experience and technical expertise to bring these community-growth projects to reality. You will collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to develop solutions that enhance water quality and sustainability.

Primary Duties:

  • Assist in the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, including roads, drainage systems, and site development.
  • Conduct field inspections, and data collection to support project development.
  • Prepare engineering reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools to develop plans and drawings.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and government agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
  • Support project documentation, permitting, and approvals as needed.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Civil, Environmental Engineering, or related disciplines
  • 0-2 years of experience in civil/environmental engineering or related fields (internship experience preferred but not required)
  • Exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D, and GIS applications is a plus.
  • EIT certification (or ability to obtain within one year) preferred
