Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Import, manage, and coordinate CAD files from Autodesk Revit models and other design platforms.
• Review and validate CAD linework for dimensional accuracy and constructability.
• Assign and verify proper elevations for layout and construction activities.
• Organize and maintain CAD standards, including proper layer management and file structure.
• Create point files (.txt, .csv, or other required formats) for field layout equipment and survey uploads.
• Import, draft, and coordinate anchor bolts, embeds, and related components from shop drawings.
• Develop and maintain CAD templates for anchor bolt and embed as-built documentation.
• Prepare and update as-built drawings throughout the construction process.
• Produce civil layout drawings for paving, sidewalks, ramps, ADA compliance, and other site development requirements.
• Create and maintain civil surface models for layout, grading, and field operations.
• Process and analyze 3D laser scan point clouds using Topcon Collage, Autodesk ReCap, and similar software platforms.
• Import laser scan data into Revit and CAD software for verification, analysis, and as-built documentation.
• Assist project teams in identifying constructability concerns within concrete and civil models.
• Support the preparation of Requests for Information (RFIs) by identifying discrepancies, conflicts, and design issues.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, surveyors, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate project execution.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation in accordance with company standards.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Autodesk Revit.
• Working knowledge of construction surveying principles, coordinate systems, and field layout procedures.
• Experience preparing construction layout files and as-built documentation.
• Understanding of civil construction, concrete construction, and site development practices.
• Experience working with 3D laser scanning technologies and point cloud data.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies within drawings and models.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Topcon Collage, Autodesk ReCap, or similar point cloud processing software.
• Experience supporting concrete, self-perform, or heavy civil construction projects.
• Familiarity with BIM/VDC workflows and construction technology platforms.
• Knowledge of GPS machine control, robotic total stations, and field layout equipment.
