Job Summary:
Computer Futures is a leading IT recruitment consultancy, specializing in placing IT experts in permanent and contract roles across Asia, Europe and the US. They are seeking a Cloud System Engineer to contribute to the design and deployment of applications on Linux, manage installations and configurations, and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Responsibilities:
• As a member of the Cloud Infrastructure Team, you will contribute to the design, architecture, and end to end deployment of applications primarily hosted on Linux.
• Your day to day will cover a large array of tasks from installing/configuring web applications on Linux servers to designing automated deployments of applications and operating systems.
• You will also be involved in installing a variety of software including web, java application, java messaging servers and NoSQL databases while working to optimize and streamline deployments.
• Additionally, as an escalated point of contact you will utilize exemplary customer service skills and troubleshoot complex technical issues between multiple integrated systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3+ years of experience with cloud platform automation
• 5+ years of experience in IT System support and design in a Medium to Large environment
• Advanced Linux/Unix experience in medium to large complex environments
• Knowledge of advanced problem resolution procedures, testing and evaluation methods, programming tools and networks
• Ability to work in a high performing, interrupt driven team environment with rapidly changing priorities
