Job description

CAD Architectural Engineering Designer – Building Envelope Systems

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Architectural Engineering Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the design and development of building envelope systems, including exterior wall assemblies, waterproofing, roofing, windows, curtain walls, and related components. This role requires strong CAD drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and revise detailed CAD drawings and construction documents.
  2. Develop building envelope details for commercial and residential projects.
  3. Coordinate design documents with architects, engineers, and consultants.
  4. Review project specifications, shop drawings, and construction documents.
  5. Support project teams throughout design, permitting, and construction phases.
  6. Maintain drawing standards and project documentation.

Qualifications

  1. Proficiency in AutoCAD required.
  2. Experience with Revit preferred.
  3. Background in architecture, architectural engineering, civil engineering, construction technology, or related field.
  4. Understanding of building envelope systems, waterproofing, roofing, facades, and exterior wall assemblies preferred.
  5. Strong organizational and communication skills.
