Description:

USSOCOM Decision Support Center (DSC) is seeking a highly skilled and proactive DSC Information Technology Engineer. This position you will be a full-time member of the J5-DSC performing a broad range of IT support activities. Also, support USSOCOM NIPR/SIPR/JWICS/GIANT/BICES/CENTRIX networks and require the certifications, permissions and ability to work on laptops, desktops, printers, audio/visual equipment, VTC equipment and any other electronic equipment that is used within the SOCOM IT Enterprise. The DSC routinely operates under an OPSTEMPO that requires movement and reconfiguration of equipment on a moment’s notice as well as short-notice VTC and miscellaneous IT support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide an appropriately skilled and trained Systems Engineer to perform all required configurations of workstations (including administration rights) in support of DSC events and daily DSC staff activities. This includes, but is not limited to, all laptops, desktops, servers, switches, printers, phones, and any other electronic equipment. The contractor shall ensure that all equipment is operational prior to starting all events and provide support for the resolution of all incidents during events.
  • DSC AV/VTC Support Systems Engineer to support all the AV/VTC systems within the DSC.
  • Ensure that all equipment operational capabilities are tested prior to an event and provide dedicated set up, operations, and troubleshooting all AV/VTC devices.
  • Coordinate with SOCOM/J6 to ensure DSC hardware and software assets are kept up to date in accordance with SOCOM/J6 directives and to provide commonly used parts to repair or replace expendable parts as needed.
  • Ensure security procedures and regulations are strictly adhered to in the processing of classified materials

  • TS clearance eligible for SCI
  • Associate’s degree in computer science
  • 10 years of IT Support
  • ITTLV 4 Foundations Certified
  • A+ certified
