Code Ninjas is a local family-owned business that teaches kids ages 5-14 to explore the world of code in a fun, safe, and inspiring environment where gaming is celebrated and STEM is cool. Our robust, game-based curriculum is built to keep our Ninjas engaged, challenged, and learning! Code Ninjas offers a variety of events and programs to make coding fun for every child. Our engaging programs, CREATE and CREATE JR, ignite creativity and critical thinking through hands-on coding, utilizing platforms like Microsoft Make Code, Scratch JR, and Code Spark. Summer Camps provide an immersive tech experience with Spike Lego Robotics, 3D Printing, Minecraft, and Roblox. Our vision is a world where kids write the code.
We are looking for a Code Sensei to join our team, working toward our common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children. This individual oversees the day-to-day coaching and student engagement.  Are you experienced in working with children? Are you looking for a job in the coding industry? Responsibilities
  • Teach computer programming concepts to students using the Code Ninjas curriculum.
  • Guide students through coding projects and challenges, offering support and encouragement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and problem-solving.
  • Assist students in troubleshooting technical issues and debugging code.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians as needed.
  • Collaborate with other instructors to develop and refine curriculum materials.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in technology and education.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development activities.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • High School Diploma 
  • Knowledgeable about coding and technology; or able to quickly pick up basic concepts.
  • Familiarity with educational technology tools and resources.
  • Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or mentorship role.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching and learning.
  • Availability to consistently work the required schedule. 
  • Ability to commute to and from Code Ninjas.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US.
  • Experience in education or childcare preferred but not required. 
  • First Aid/CPR Certification: Preferred but not required. 
Available Shifts/Hours - Expected hours: 12 - 20 per week
  • Student Hours
    • Tuesday - Friday: 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM (year-round)
    • Saturdays: 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM (year-round)
  • Flexibility to work Code Ninjas Camps: 
    • Day/Winter/Summer Camps are offered on days with no school and seasonal breaks.
    • Monday - Friday (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)
