Purpose

Lead and execute Bowman’s Early Career Program, which includes internship, co-op, and entry-level talent initiatives. Drive early talent strategies through impactful branding, event planning, intern programming, ambassador training, digital outreach, and high-touch candidate engagement.


Responsibilities

Leadership and Direction

  • Report to and receive strategic direction and guidance from the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition.
  • Partner closely with the Business Leaders to align early career strategies with company-wide hiring goals, brand positioning, and workforce planning needs.
  • Operate with a high level of independence and accountability in managing and evolving Bowman’s early career programs.

At the Operational and Company Level

  • Design and implement scalable and inclusive early career talent programs aligned with Bowman’s workforce needs and long-term hiring strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (HR, Operations, Marketing, etc.) to build and promote Bowman’s early career employment brand and value proposition.
  • Serve as a cross-functional partner to align early talent strategy with business priorities and workforce planning.

Do the Work

  • Develop, enhance, and manage Bowman’s internship, co-op, and entry-level programs from end to end.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to forecast intern and co-op hiring needs, and coordinate full-cycle recruiting from requisition to onboarding.
  • Oversee the intern and co-op experience, including onboarding, learning opportunities, networking events, mentorship, and performance feedback.
  • Organize and manage early talent recruiting events, including university career fairs, virtual sessions, hackathons, and student organization partnerships.
  • Build and lead the Early Career Ambassador Program: recruit, train, and empower employees to represent Bowman at events and promote opportunities.
  • Partner with Marketing to create engaging early career branding content (e.g., videos, social posts, job spotlights) and ensure strong digital presence.
  • Establish and maintain pipelines with diverse colleges, universities, and professional organizations to attract underrepresented talent.
  • Track and report program KPIs such as candidate quality, offer acceptance rate, intern conversion, diversity outcomes, and source effectiveness.
  • Prepare and manage the early career program budget, including event logistics, swag, travel, training sessions, and candidate experience initiatives.
  • Leverage tools like CRMs, ATS (UKG/iCIMS), and engagement platforms to drive efficiency and visibility across recruiting and program operations.
  • Ensure recruiting practices align with compliance standards including OFCCP, EEO, and internal hiring policies.
  • Promote a culture of belonging and professional growth for early career professionals across the firm.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the evolving needs of the business and talent acquisition function.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in human resources, communications, business administration, or related field.
  • Five or more (5+) years of experience in Talent Acquisition, including ownership of early career, internship/co-op, or university recruiting programs.
  • Experience designing and managing intern/co-op conversion pipelines and early talent engagement strategies.
  • Background in the AEC industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (e.g., UKG, iCIMS), CRMs, and virtual engagement/event tools.
  • Strong MS Office and project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% during peak event seasons (Fall/Spring).
  • Familiarity with OFCCP and EEO recruitment compliance standards.
