CO-OP/Intern Cycle: January - June 2027
Anticipated Start & End Date: January 4, 2027 - June 25, 2027 (flexible based on school requirements)

POSITION SUMMARY:
Audax is looking for a dynamic, motivated Data Engineer CO-OP to join the business solutions team. This position will be responsible for supporting the company's Senior Data Engineer with hands-on experience in data engineering, data governance, and data management. You will collaborate with the data team to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ensure data quality and integrity, and contribute to the expansion of the company's data warehouse.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designing, implementing, maintaining and scaling the Audax data ecosystem
  • Work with professionals to scale data infrastructure within the company's cloud enterprise data warehouse.
  • Play an integral role in designing ETL processes and analytic pipelines for investment professionals.
  • Assist with implementation of data governance policies, including data cataloging and data lineage.
  • Provide data validation and data quality assessments.
  • Identify and resolve data anomalies.

COMPETENCIES:
  • Proficient in SQL and Python required.
  • Familiarity with Java a plus.
  • Familiarity with on-premise and cloud-based databases.
  • Experience designing and implementing optimal data schemas.
  • Knowledge of/experience implementing best practices in data governance.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or another related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous Co-Op or full-time experience in a related field is a plus.
  • Experience taking large data sets, and cleaning/distilling these datasets.
  • Experience with Python a plus.
  • Experience with Alteryx and its advanced capabilities a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
  • Ability to interact in an efficient and meaningful way with all levels of the organization required.

TRAVEL: No regular travel is required for this role.
OTHER DUTIES:
For Massachusetts: The hourly range for this position is $30.00-$34.00. The hourly range represents the estimated low and high end for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and Audax reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. An employee may also be eligible for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on performance.
