Job description

DataPath specializes in designing, manufacturing, and supporting both custom and commercial- off-the-shelf mission-critical remote satellite-based communications solutions for customers worldwide. All our solutions are backed by industry leading MaxView Enterprise software, customer care and field support. MaxView provides a single, consistent interface to manage all equipment, elements, and service applications within our customers’ network.

Summary:

DataPath is looking for qualified computer science/engineering Software Co-op candidates to expand our existing software development team. The ideal candidate will have some experience in Java/C/C++/Angular/Scripting, have knowledge of software testing on Windows/Linux environments, and be familiar with Azure/AWS/DevOps. A typical Software Co-op will rotate through our software products to get exposure to multiple tools, languages, frameworks, and technologies. Don't worry - you'll learn them as you go.

Knowledge and Responsibilities:

  • Software Development opportunities in multiple environments: Java, C, C++, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, UX, Angular,
  • Software Scripting opportunities in multiple environments: TCL, Python, Groovy
  • Software Testing and Automation opportunities on an Enterprise software platform in Windows/Linux
  • Learn and utilize multiple software tools such as JIRA, SVN, GIT, Jenkins
  • Learn and utilize Agile development methodology as part of the software development lifecycle.
  • Superb troubleshooting and problem analysis skills
  • Ambitious, self-driven, results oriented with great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving ability while reacting to changing situations, & championing issues to resolution
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Minimum Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • This is a 40-hour/week, in-office position located at our Duluth, GA facility.
  • Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Completed at least one full year of college (rising Sophomore).
  • Willingness and ability to work multiple rotations during your college years with a minimum of 3 rotations required.
  • Must be available for full-time work (40 hrs/wk) during rotations. This position is not conducive to taking courses simultaneously during the working rotations.
