Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator (OCP Certified)
Location: New York, NY (10004)
Duration: 30 Months


Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) credentials to support enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing Oracle 12c or higher databases in complex, high-availability environments, including RAC and Data Guard configurations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases (12c or higher) in Unix/Linux environments
  • Manage multitenant RAC databases with Data Guard configurations
  • Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Troubleshoot critical database and server issues, including crashes and hardware failures
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, storage, and application teams to resolve performance issues
  • Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and advanced performance tuning
  • Perform backup and recovery operations using RMAN and Data Pump (Export/Import)
  • Support Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) in High Availability (HA) configurations
  • Install and maintain Oracle APEX (database tier) environments
  • Maintain system documentation, including architecture diagrams and operational procedures
  • Perform basic server hardware support (racking, cabling, component replacement) as needed

Required Qualifications
  • Oracle Database Administration 2019 Certified Professional OR OCP certification (12c or higher)
  • Minimum 84 months (7+ years) of experience managing Oracle 12c or higher databases
  • Strong experience with RAC, Data Guard, and multitenant architecture
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux environments (AIX, Linux, etc.)
  • Proven expertise in database troubleshooting, performance tuning, and issue resolution
  • Hands-on experience with RMAN backup and recovery processes
  • Extensive experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 13c or higher
  • Experience documenting processes and creating system architecture diagrams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) in HA environments
  • Experience with Oracle APEX (database tier)
  • Familiarity with infrastructure components including storage and networking
  • Experience with server hardware maintenance
