We are looking for Database Administrator in Brooklyn, NY for 3+ years contract position.

Job Description:

Position: Database Administrator

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11201

Duration: 3+ years


Required Skills:

  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, analytical, problem solving, and information gathering skills along with fundamental technique troubleshooting abilities of RDMS.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a functional DBA maintaining SQL Server databases, performance tuning by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products.
  • Deep knowledge of T-SQL development and auditing of complex queries for optimal performance and improvement recommendations.
  • Experience installing, configuring and maintaining SQL server databases running on MS Windows Server.
  • Experience managing database security and user permission and privileges in accordance with application and database requirements.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Data Quality tools (IBM Information Server or Informatica Data Quality)
  • Experience with multidimensional Data Warehouses is a plus
  • Working knowledge of UDB or DB2 LUW is a plus
  • Experience migrating VSAM data to relational databases
  • Experience in Data Modeling is a plus
  • Experience in Pension Systems is a plus
