Position Summary

The Engineering Co-Op will work under the supervision of the Engineering and Quality Manager to support the development and implementation of engineering documentation and manufacturing processes. This role provides hands-on experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, offering exposure to real-world engineering applications and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and revise 3D models and 2D drawings using Creo CAD software
  • Develop and update work instructions and technical documentation
  • Support engineering and management teams in daily operational tasks
  • Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and interpret data
  • Assist with troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment
  • Ensure compliance with plant safety, ergonomic, and environmental standards

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
  • Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with 3D/2D CAD software (Creo preferred)
  • Prior internship or co-op experience
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude or experience in a technical environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform tasks requiring a full range of motion, including bending, squatting, and reaching
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
