WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

As a CAD Design Supervisor at nVent Management Company, you will lead our CAD team in producing precise and high-quality technical drawings, models, and documentation. You will experience:

  • Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead, mentor, and develop a world-class team of CAD designers and drafters. Assign workloads, balance priorities, and ensure strict adherence to timelines.

  • Technical Mentorship: Establish and implement CAD standards, templates, and guidelines. Review drawings and models for accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

  • Workflow & Process Management: Develop and optimize CAD workflows to improve efficiency and reduce rework. Coordinate with engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on project requirements.

  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control procedures to ensure our outputs are flawless and align with regulatory and industry standards.

  • Serve as the primary contact for CAD-related questions across the organization. Participate in project planning meetings to understand scope and build needs.

  • Software Management: Manage CAD software licenses, updates, and integrations in partnership with IT.

YOU HAVE:

  • Academic background in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated background as a CAD Designer, Drafter, or in a comparable position with advancement into leadership.

  • Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks.

  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, drafting standards, and build documentation.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage numerous projects and timelines simultaneously.
