Job Title: CAD Drafter – Superior Walls
Location: Northeast Precast. 4081 S. Lincoln Avenue, Vineland NJ
Job Type: Full-Time
Department: Drafting/Design
Reports To: General Manager – Superior Walls

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CAD Drafter to join our team in producing custom shop drawings for Superior Walls, a precast concrete foundation system. The ideal candidate will have experience in AutoCAD and an understanding of residential construction practices, with a strong focus on precision, communication, and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed shop drawings for Superior Walls foundation systems based on architectural and structural plans.
  • Interpret and incorporate information from construction documents, site plans, and customer specifications.
  • Modify existing drawings as needed based on customer revisions or engineering changes.
  • Coordinate with sales, engineering, production, and field teams to ensure drawing accuracy and buildability.
  • Ensure compliance with Superior Walls design standards, local building codes, and internal quality guidelines.
  • Assist in maintaining drawing libraries, templates, and standard details.
  • Participate in internal reviews and redline revisions as part of the quality control process.
  • Manage multiple drafting projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting)
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or technical certificate in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, foundation plans, and structural layouts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow established CAD standards.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage deadlines, and adapt to project changes.
Preferred:
  • Prior experience drafting Superior Walls or other precast wall systems.
  • Knowledge of residential and light commercial construction practices.

Work Environment amp; Physical Requirements:
  • Typical office environment with computer workstation.
  • Occasional site visits or field coordination may be required.
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Typical work hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, overtime may be required
