JOB DESCRIPTION:
The CAD Designer generates 3D models and assemblies for moderate to complex product designs with basic to moderate engineering direction while considering the needs of other business areas such as manufacturing, material process and environmental impacts. The CAD Designer assists in developing product design solutions by providing input, thoughts, and ideas, while closely collaborating with product engineers. The CAD designer also assists in rapid prototyping to turn ideas into solutions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with idea and concept generation while working with a product development team
  • 2D drawing and 3D modeling to accurately reflect design ideas and changes
  • Updating product documentation according to red-line changes
  • Assisting with rapid prototyping generally through 3D printing internally or externally
  • Following CAD standards and best practices while maintaining curiosity to identify and bring forward new ideas

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2-Year Associate's Degree and 3+ years experience in related area of work
  • Proficient in 2D CAD modeling
  • Proficient in 3D CAD modeling and drawing detail creation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to troubleshoot problems with other technical employees and experts

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in an engineering or research development environment
  • 3D printing experience
  • AutoCAD and Inventor experience
  • 5+ years experience in a related area of work
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills

PAY RANGE:
$62,960.00 - $94,440.00
