Brief Job Description
Axxeum is seeking a detail-oriented and organized UAS Program / Engineering Assistant to support unmanned aerial systems (UAS) projects, engineering coordination efforts, documentation management, and day-to-day program operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative, technical coordination, and organizational skills who is interested in supporting aerospace and defense-related engineering programs in a fast-paced environment.
The position will work closely with engineering, operations, and program leadership to help maintain schedules, organize documentation, support project activities, and assist with coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Administrative Support
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, coordinating calendars, and maintaining project timelines.
  • Support preparation of reports, presentations, meeting notes, and status updates.
  • Organize and maintain engineering documents, program records, and technical files.
  • Track action items, deliverables, and follow-up tasks across multiple projects.
  • Support purchasing requests, material tracking, and inventory coordination as needed.
Engineering & Project Coordination Support
  • Assist engineering staff with documentation, prototype tracking, and configuration updates.
  • Help maintain CAD files, drawings, testing documentation, and revision records.
  • Coordinate logistics for testing activities, demonstrations, and project events.
  • Support data entry, spreadsheet tracking, and basic reporting functions.
  • Assist with preparing project binders, compliance documentation, and customer deliverables.
General Office & Team Support
  • Provide day-to-day support to engineering and program management personnel.
  • Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and internal departments.
  • Assist with onboarding materials, training coordination, and administrative processes as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of company operations and projects.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or relevant experience in business, administration, engineering support, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of administrative, project coordination, or technical support experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience working with spreadsheets, scheduling, and document management systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Interest or familiarity with aerospace, manufacturing, engineering, or UAS programs is a plus.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen if required.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility to include but not limited to: bending, reaching, climbing, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. Must be able to lift, move, and transport items frequently over 10 pounds.
Work Environment
Generally, work is conducted in an inside office environment, but may also involve some outside work depending on the task. The inside environment may be in an office or cubicle with close quarters, low to moderate noise, and bright or dim lighting. Outside work may include various environmental conditions including warm and cold climates and while on travel.
