Summary

We are representing a well-established civil engineering firm focused on transportation infrastructure projects across the Northeast. Due to a growing backlog of roadway and bridge work, they are seeking a Senior / CAD Designer with 5+ years of experience supporting civil and transportation design teams.

This role is ideal for a CAD professional with a strong background in highway, roadway, and bridge projects who can produce detailed construction drawings with minimal oversight and work closely with engineers on DOT and public infrastructure projects.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support civil, roadway, and bridge design teams in producing construction-ready CAD drawings

  • Develop detailed plans, profiles, sections, and details using MicroStation, InRoads, and AutoCAD

  • Assist with civil site design including roadway layout, grading, utilities, drainage, and stormwater systems

  • Support structural and bridge drafting for new bridges, rehabilitations, culverts, and land rating

  • Incorporate engineer redlines and ensure drawings meet agency and internal CAD standards

  • Prepare traffic control plans, utility relocation layouts, and construction support documents

  • Maintain drawing organization, version control, and submittal deadlines

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and assist in mentoring junior CAD staff

  • Contribute to 3D modeling or visualization efforts as needed
