About the Role

We are currently seeking a self-motivated, results-oriented Computer Build Technician. This role is based at our Hilliard area integration center and is responsible for the assembly, quality assurance, and packaging of desktop computers. This position is a warehouse/labor/production-oriented role. The ideal candidate would have experience in a production environment, with the ability to work well with their hands, along with the ability to use basic tools. At this time, only local (Columbus, OH area) candidates will be considered.

What You'll Do:

  • Assemble new computer systems in accordance with established guidelines
  • Perform core production tasks, including computer assembly, system preparation, and packaging of computers and related products
  • Maintain consistent quality standards and ensure uniformity across all completed systems
  • Move system components into and out of the assigned work area in accordance with established guidelines
  • Verify that all parts ordered for repairs or new builds match the correct SKU and required quantity after receiving them. Promptly report any discrepancies to the Lead Build Technician or Department Manager
  • Clean, package, and box completed computer systems, then stack them on pallets according to company standards and shipping procedures
  • Assemble accessory kits with the correct components specified for each system model
  • Perform additional related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience building and troubleshooting desktop computers strongly preferred

  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and to stand throughout the entirety of each shift
