Job description
Senstar has an opening for a hands-on Assembler, reporting to the Manufacturing Manager. If you have a keen eye for quality, enjoy working with your hands, and thrive in a fast-paced production environment, then this is the ideal position for you. The Assembler will be working onsite as a VITAL member of an amazing manufacturing team.
The Expectations of the Position include...
- Harnessing, electromechanical and cable assembly
- Build product within the standard labour timeframe on our ERP system
- Soldering on various printed circuit boards, experience an asset
- Incorporate Engineering Change Requests and/or Engineering Change Orders
- Report any non-conformances and/or problems
- Provide input to assembly drawings and procedures
- Provide regular feedback to management on assigned tasks
- Masking and conformal coating
- Some testing of product when required
- Help out in other departments when required
What You Bring to Senstar...
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Able to use assembly equipment including, but not limited to, soldering irons, rework stations, crimpers, hand tools, meters and some test equipment
- Able to document and report any problems or non-conformances
- Able to use a computer at a basic level, including data entry
- Able to complete J-Standards training; certificate an asset
- Soldering certificate an asset
- Able to understand and communicate in English, both reading and writing
- Able to follow direction to complete assigned tasks
- Able to identify and report problems
- Able to sit and/or stand for long durations, lift and carry up to 10 lbs, and perform bending, twisting and reaching
- Able to concentrate and focus for long periods, and analyze and evaluate decisions
