About the role
This CAD Artist role is a great opportunity for a creative textile designer to bring original patterns, prints, colorways, and seasonal artwork to life for a brand-focused product assortment. The position partners closely with Design to translate concept and color direction into polished CAD artwork, production-ready repeats, and compelling presentation materials. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys blending creativity with technical execution while working across multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The impact you can have

  • Collaborate with Design on the visualization, presentation, and communication of pattern concepts through CAD artwork
  • Translate pattern and color direction to interpret into artwork appropriate for the brand and client
  • Creating prints through original work or purchased files (contemporary and vintage). Cleaning and placing prints into production size repeats.
  • Executes color separations. Artwork must be created for design production with technical specs as well as for visual presentations
  • Develop pattern repeats and produce alternate color ways for developed prints and plaids
  • Provide production ready artwork for internal and external partners
  • Creates print boards for presentation seasonally and updates them accordingly.
  • Collaborates with cross functional team to assist with accessories design, including developing artwork for scarves, wraps and sleep.
  • Organizing and prioritizing multiple projects to meet established deadlines.
  • Matching color standards to printed output from high-end color copier and Epson printers. Maintaining accurate seasonal color palette in Nedgraphics.
  • Coordinate with Technology team to meet appropriate equipment needs for operation and maintenance of CAD department. Maintains CAD supplies - reordering when needed.

You'll bring to the role

  • BA Degree in Design or Textile Design
  • 3-5 years of experience in Textile Design with strong sense of textile development process from conceptualization to finished design
  • Detail oriented, with strong organizational, time management and communication skills
  • Knowledge of repeat patterns, textile printing, yarn dye reproduction
  • Strong sense of color for the creation of colorways
  • Experience with NedGraphics preferred
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop required
  • Strong creative ability
  • Self-starter, can work independently with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
