Lead Data Architect

An established enterprise brand is seeking a Lead Data Architect to spearhead the vision, roadmap, and execution of its modern cloud data ecosystem. This high-impact role leads the shift toward a unified lakehouse framework, self-service business intelligence, and scalable AI/ML capabilities.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Data Strategy & Architecture: Own the roadmap for analytics, integration, and AI platforms; architect scalable cloud lakehouse environments using the Medallion data pattern.

  • Pipeline & Integration Design: Drive API-led, event-driven, and batch data flows across enterprise systems; optimize pipeline monitoring and metadata capture.

  • Semantic Layers & Self-Service BI: Establish centralized semantic models, governance catalogs, and user-centric frameworks to democratize trusted data access.

  • AI/ML Readiness: Build foundational infrastructure, feature frameworks, and MLOps practices for advanced analytics and Generative AI.

  • Governance & Security: Implement strict data protection, access controls (RBAC/ABAC), and enterprise architecture standards.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in data engineering and architecture
  • 5+ years leading enterprise-scale data architecture and strategy.
  • Deep experience designing cloud lakehouse platforms, including Snowflake, alongside modern transformation tools dbt and Fivetran.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, enterprise data modeling (dimensional/logical), and SaaS architectures.

  • Experience with enterprise integration patterns and data governance frameworks.
