Job description

Position Description
Lead the design, implementation, and governance of an enterprise-scale Azure cloud platform aligned with Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) principles for the Judicial Branch of Arizona. The Enterprise Architect will provide architectural leadership across cloud domains, including landing zone design, governance, security, networking, DevOps, and resilience. Responsibilities include designing and overseeing Azure infrastructure (VMs, App Services, Storage, SQL), establishing identity and access management using Azure AD and RBAC, enforcing security and compliance through policies and encryption, and implementing monitoring and optimization strategies. The role also ensures alignment with judicial compliance requirements and supports transition to commercial Azure and/or cloud-agnostic solutions. The architect will drive DevOps enablement, infrastructure-as-code adoption, automation, and scalable platform design while providing documentation, knowledge transfer, and ongoing architectural guidance.
