Abonmarche is seeking a CAD Technician in our Fort Wayne, IN office.

Summary:

Assist Survey and Engineering teams in the preparation of topographic and boundary surveys and
exhibits, plans, permit drawings, record drawings, marketing and presentation drawings, utilizing
CAD software.


Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Survey staff in preparation of all types of surveys, contours, and surface development.
  • Interprets and follows legal descriptions in the preparation of CAD drawings.
  • Assists the engineering staff in the preparation of plans, permit drawings, record drawings, and marketing and presentation drawings.
  • Follow company CAD standards and templates to ensure uniform drawings and deliverables across all departments.
  • Coordinates utility locations and completes applicable documentation.
  • Update and modify design drawings based on the engineers and surveyors feedback.


Education:
• Associate’s degree in drafting preferred.


Licensure/Certification/Registration:
• None.


Work Experience/Qualifications:
• 0-5 years drafting experience, with a focus on land surveying and civil engineering; previous consulting firm experience is a plus.
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Team player with the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to recommend improvements and innovations.
• Sound technical judgment and decisiveness.


Work Environment:
Typical office environment with potentially some data collection work performed outside on a
project site. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety boots/shoes, hard
hat, safety vest, etc.
