Basic Job Functions:
The Estimator will act as the primary contact for sales teams during pre-sale processes, ensuring accurate and timely quotes that meet customer requirements. They will communicate with customers to clarify quote details, review bid documents, schedule projects, and generate quotes using CPQ software. The Estimator will also maintain quote templates, perform on-screen takeoffs using Bluebeam, provide material price estimates, identify cost-saving measures, assist in bid proposal preparation, and resolve discrepancies. Additionally, they will work closely with other departments to ensure accurate estimations.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years estimating or customer service experience.
  • Two-year associates degree

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years estimating experience for exterior building products or steel buildings, using OST or Bluebeam takeoff software.
