Position: Senior Project Engineer

The Senior Project Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects by assisting project leadership with cost control, scheduling, quality management, and documentation. This role serves as a key technical and administrative resource to the project team, working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and design partners to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The Senior Project Engineer is expected to operate with increasing autonomy and provide mentorship to junior team members while contributing to continuous improvement of project processes. Key Job Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Manager and Superintendent with daytoday project execution, including cost control, schedule management, and document coordination
  • Manage and track submittals, RFIs, change requests, and associated logs to ensure timely resolution
  • Support project buyout, subcontract administration, and procurement activities
  • Assist with preparation and maintenance of project schedules, including shortinterval planning and lookahead schedules
  • Monitor project costs, support forecasting, and assist with quantity tracking and cost reporting
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and design professionals to support construction activities and resolve field issues
  • Participate in project meetings, prepare meeting agendas/minutes, and distribute followup documentation
  • Support implementation of project quality control processes and documentation requirements
  • Assist with safety planning, compliance tracking, and site safety initiatives
  • Utilize project management and technology platforms (Procore, Bluebeam, scheduling software, etc.) to support project execution
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to Project Engineers or interns as assigned
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned efforts
Required Knowledge, Education, Experience, Skills & Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3-6+ years of commercial construction experience in a Project Engineer role or similar capacity
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, drawing interpretation, and project controls
  • Proficiency with construction technology platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced project environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and followthrough
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
  • Willingness to work from the Evansville, IN project site with occasional travel as required
