  • Prepare job folders for manufacturing - Compile and prepare complete job folders for manufacturing, including ballooned prints, inspection reports, control plans, and bills of materials (BOM).
  • Design restraint gauges and check fixtures - Design basic restraint gauges and check fixtures to assist quality inspections, and determine the best tools and methods to qualify components.
  • Collaborate across teams - Facilitate collaboration between account managers, tool designers, and prototype technicians; assist prototype technicians with CAD modifications as they pertain to existing jobs.
  • Manage customer technical data - Upload and download technical information from customers; manage proper file names and locations for large assembly projects; review Engineering Change Notice requests to determine impact and internal routing.
  • Support process improvement and training - Drive process improvement initiatives, train other CAD technicians, and review, update, and maintain the CAD schedule and workload as needed.
  • Work safely and follow procedures - Adhere to safe work practices as defined within company and department-specific safety procedures; perform other duties as required or requested.

  • Self-managing and able to work toward completion dates and goals as assigned
  • Ability to multitask and work in high-pressure situations under deadlines
  • Ability to provide technical feedback on potential design risks and product performance issues
  • Skilled with MIG steel welding preferred
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferred, but not required
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to fumes or airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, moving mechanical parts, industrial equipment, vibration, and loud noise
  • No travel required for this position
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States; E-Verify partner employer (U.S. Citizenship, Work Visa, or H1B sponsorship)
