Job description

CAD Designer I 
Hiring a Cad Designer to create and maintain product documentation and bills of material. Collaborate directly with sales staff and customers to develop drawings from sketches, blueprints, existing drawings, and photos, along with written and verbal instructions. 
LOCATION: Tallassee, AL 36078
POSITION: Contract to Hire
PAY RATE: $30.00 hour 
Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Work closely with all departments within the plant to guarantee that drawings are accurate, convey the correct information, and are free from errors. Update drawings as needed to facilitate continuous production and prevent delays. 
  • Utilize drafting resources to create new tools that enhance efficiency, including hardware and software design. 
  • Produce drawings based on customer, company, and vendor specifications, adhering to corporate drawing standards. 
  • Undertake additional related duties as assigned. 


REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Associate's degree in drafting design or equivalent experience - Required 
  • 1 to 3 years of drafting experience - Required. 
  • Experience with analytical and CAD software including SolidWorks preferred 
  • Requires knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models 
  • HVAC industry experience preferred 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
