Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician/Designer to assist project managers and engineers in designing vital water, wastewater, and storm water infrastructure projects. Utilizing platforms like Civil 3D, AutoCAD, BricsCAD, and Revit, you will take projects from conceptual development through final detailed design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facility & Infrastructure Design: Develop conceptual and final designs for water, wastewater, and storm water treatment facilities.
  • Pipeline Design: Design water, sewer, and storm water pipeline alignment and profiling projects.
  • Cross-Discipline Coordination: Partner with process equipment manufacturers, vendors, architects, and multi-discipline engineering teams to deliver complete, detailed design packages.
  • Surfaces & Grading: Utilize Civil 3D to create complex surfaces and handle precise grading layouts.
  • CADD Standardization: Create, set up, and manage templates and styles across software platforms. Assist in standardizing company-wide CAD practices and mentoring junior CAD personnel.
  • Project Documentation: Develop project specifications, prepare construction quantities, and compile opinions of cost.
  • Permitting Assistance: Support engineers with permitting documentation for governmental and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience designing water resources treatment and infrastructure projects within a consulting environment.
  • Education: Vocational certificate or 2-year degree in Civil Technology is preferred. Extensive hands-on design experience may be substituted for formal education.
  • Core Software Expertise: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is essential.
  • BIM & Advanced Tools (Plus): Building Information Modeling (BIM) skills using Revit or BricsCAD are highly desirable.
  • GIS & Surveying (Plus): Experience with ArcGIS and field surveying is a strong asset.
  • Tech-Driven: A strong desire to stay current with the latest CAD software products, tools, and version updates.
