Mechanical CAD Design Engineer Level 1
Location: Chandler, AZ 85286 | Pay: $35/hr - $38.44/hr | Onsite | 12+ Months (Contract-to-Hire Potential)
About the Role
Join Indotronix as a Mechanical CAD Design Engineer Level 1 and play a key part in a high-impact Mechanical and Energetics team. This is a hands-on, onsite opportunity to advance your CAD modeling skills while supporting mission-critical projects within a collaborative engineering environment. Responsibilities
- Create, review, and verify detailed mechanical drawing and design packages compliant with industry and military standards
- Model fully defined components and assemblies efficiently using Siemens NX 2412 managed with Teamcenter
- Revise and ensure parametric drawings meet ASME 3D modeling and drawing standards
- Conduct tolerance analysis, hardware selection, and fitment verification on assembly prints
- Liaise with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, quality teams, and vendors to ensure design integrity and manufacturability
- Resolve GD&T interpretation issues and support drawing clarification
- Supervise and direct staff activities, as needed
- Meet delivery deadlines while maintaining high accuracy and quality standards
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical CAD design
- Proficiency in Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and 3D modeling
- Solid understanding of GD&T and ASME drawing standards
- Experience with tolerance analysis, hardware fitment, and assembly design
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Proficient with Word, Excel, Windows
