Job description

Job Summary:
Cadence is a company that hires and develops leaders and innovators in technology. They are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to develop efficient software solutions, analyze algorithms, and collaborate on architectural projects.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Develop Software solutions that are efficient in time and memory complexity
โ€ข Analyze and improve existing algorithms
โ€ข Collaborate with Senior architects on next generation architectural projects
โ€ข Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and performance benchmarking
โ€ข Document solutions with functional and design specifications
โ€ข Write tests to rigorously test the developed code
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข BS with a minimum of 8 years of experience OR MS with a minimum of 5 years of experience OR PhD with a minimum of 3 years of experience
โ€ข Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.
โ€ข Strong software engineering and problem solving skills
โ€ข Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and databases
โ€ข Understanding of compilers, parsing and code generation, static elaboration, event driven or parallel simulation
โ€ข Excellent verbal and written communication skills
โ€ข Proven problem-solving skills and creativity in tackling complex technical challenges.
โ€ข Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience with large-scale software systems and performance tuning
โ€ข Knowledge of simulation engines and EDA tools
โ€ข Knowledge of SystemVerilog Hardware Description Language
