Job description

Primary Purpose
Executes a wide range of routine operating tasks, applying established methods to keep equipment available and data accurate. Resolves common issues by selecting from known options and preparing thorough tickets for escalation when needed.
(This role is located in Ragley, LA)
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Starts, stops, and operates compressor units and auxiliary systems; adjusts within prescribed limits to maintain flow and pressure.
  • Performs routine checks on engines, compressors, separators, coolers, and dehydration equipment; documents results.
  • Replaces basic components (filters, gaskets) and replenishes fluids following standard procedures.
  • Uses supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems to verify operating status and enter notes as directed.
  • Collects gas samples or moisture readings when required and routes them or logs per procedure.
  • Responds to routine alarms by executing predefined steps and communicating conditions to senior personnel.
  • Assists with planned maintenance windows (equipment preparations, isolation support, postรขโ‚ฌ'start checks).
  • Maintains tidy tool and parts areas; updates inventory counts for consumables used during routine tasks.
  • Participates in the safe installation of instrumentation and electrical components, and troubleshoots issues with control systems, complex equipment, reciprocating compressors, gas storage equipment, generators, and gas chromatography systems.
  • Maintains, modifies, and troubleshoots Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) to maximize the use of control technology and minimize installation and operating costs, and also maintains advanced monitoring devices.
  • Performs preventive and general maintenance on electronic and pneumatic equipment and associated components and plans upcoming projects and tasks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Able to read P&ID and electrical diagrams, as well as other complex electrical drawings; interprets plant electrical diagrams and updates electrical drawings.
  • Able to run conduit, pull wire, replace motors, and maintain lighting systems and basic motor controls.
  • Possesses substantial knowledge of mechanical principles and demonstrates strong troubleshootingskills.
