As a counselor at our community health clinic, you will operate in an outpatient counseling setting, engaging with clients on an appointment basis. This structure allows for tailored scheduling that meets individual client needs while fostering a collaborative team approach among healthcare professionals.

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations to develop tailored treatment plans for each client.
• Employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions with a broad range of client types, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities—such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy—ensuring the approach aligns with client goals.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare staff, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure holistic and coordinated care for diverse patient needs.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, ensuring compliance with ethical standards, legal requirements, and organizational policies.
• Stay abreast of advancements in the mental health field through workshops and professional development opportunities, applying new knowledge to enhance therapeutic practices.

In this role, you will serve a broad spectrum of clients, ranging from those facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse to family dynamics and relationship issues. You will also work with diverse populations, respectfully addressing the unique cultural and social factors that influence mental health and wellness.

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Tennessee.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing counseling services, ideally in a clinical or outpatient environment.
• A strong understanding of ethical guidelines and legal regulations governing counseling practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of rapport and therapeutic relationships across diverse client backgrounds.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team, effectively contributing to a multidisciplinary healthcare framework.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and relevant software tools used in clinical settings.
