As a Pharmacy Tech III at MercyOne Genesis, you will:
  • Assist the Staff Pharmacists in providing professional Pharmacy services
  • Perform in any functional area of the Department to provide accurate& efficient dispensing of medications

Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Hours vary between 8:00am - 6:00pm
  • Monday - Friday
  • No holidays or weekends

General Requirements:

  • Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy technician operations, including prescription processing, advanced workflow support, insurance billing and claims troubleshooting, inventory control, and quality documentation.
  • More than three (3) years of pharmacy technician experience
  • Must maintain current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) status and be registered with the Iowa and/or Illinois Board of Pharmacy, as required by assigned practice location, within thirty (30) days of hire
  • Must demonstrate advanced technician proficiency and the ability to train and mentor others, including documenting competency completion and providing feedback under the direction of pharmacy leadership
  • Must maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and hold a valid driver's license. When assigned to designated community pharmacy locations, must obtain within 6 months and maintain required training, credentials, and competency to administer immunizations in accordance with organizational policy, state scope of practice, and applicable regulatory requirements. Sterile compounding support training and cleanroom experience are preferred when assigned to locations with sterile compounding capabilities
