Job description

This per diem opportunity is ideal for a certified and Ohio-licensed pharmacy technician with compounding experience. The role involves providing pharmacy support at a healthcare facility with an average daily census of 15, ensuring efficient medication management and patient safety.
Location: London, Ohio
Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Possible weekend coverage 1-2 weekends per month
Key Responsibilities:
  • Compound hazardous and non-hazardous medications following strict safety protocols
  • Refill and maintain inventory using the Pyxis automated medication dispensing system
  • Assist with order entry; familiarity with EPIC is a plus but not required
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to support daily operations
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
  • Certified pharmacy technician credential
  • Licensed to practice in Ohio as a pharmacy technician
  • Proficient in compounding both hazardous and non-hazardous substances
  • Experience with Pyxis automation system is required
  • Previous exposure to EPIC order entry system is advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities within a small pharmacy staff
Additional Information:
  • The position is expected to start as soon as possible and last approximately 8-12 weeks
  • Preference given to local candidates; however, travel expenses may be considered for qualified applicants willing to relocate or commute
