Job description

Job Summary: 

The fill technician assists the pharmacist in the preparation, packaging, and fulfillment of compounded medication orders, maintaining the compounded preparation and supply inventory, and maintaining patient and pharmacy records in a manner consistent with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as pharmacy policies and procedures.

Job Activities and Responsibilities: The responsibilities listed below are subject to change.

  • Maintain a knowledge of and follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures
  • Packing and fulfilling patient-specific compounded prescription orders
  • Pre-packaging of compounded preparations for dispensing
  • Maintain device and compounding supply inventory
  • Assist in managing and reporting stock of compounded preparations
  • Communicate with staff, patients, and/or providers regarding shortages/backorders, delays, and/or non-clinical clarifications
  • Assist with additional pharmacy tasks as directed by pharmacy management

Minimum qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be licensed by the State you are applying to work in as a Registered Pharmacy Technician
  • Ability to navigate basic computer operating systems

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds. Moving, lifting, or carrying boxes. 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods 
  • Fine Motor Skills 
  • Visual acuity
