Job description

Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our growing call center pharmacy team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing high-volume inbound calls, processing prescriptions, verifying patient information, and supporting pharmacists to ensure exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains a high level of accuracy, and is committed to delivering outstanding service to patients and healthcare providers.

Responsibilities
  • Follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures, specifically noting the use of hormones and other potentially hazardous chemicals in non-sterile compounding.
  • Perform non-sterile compounding which may include capsules, liquids, topical medications, nasal preparations, suppositories, troches, or tablet triturates.
  • Conduct sterile compounding including injections, ophthalmic, and inhalation solutions, ensuring standards for potency, quality, purity, integrity, sterility, and endotoxin content are met.
  • Compound medications, fill and label prescriptions, and pre-package bulk compounded medications.
  • Monitor inventory levels for re-order of low inventory or expiring chemicals, receive new inventory, and maintain MSDS and Certificates of Analysis.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning using appropriate disinfectants and techniques.
  • Familiarize with MSDS location and review as needed when working with hazardous or non-hazardous chemicals.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring and validation testing as per policies and procedures.
  • Undergo initial and ongoing competency evaluation as required.
  • Work under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Essential Skills
  • Active Registered Pharmacy Technician license/registration in the applicable state.
  • Previous pharmacy technician experience in retail, specialty, mail-order, compounding, or call center environment.
  • Strong data entry and computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with pharmacy management systems and electronic prescription processing.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and pharmacy compliance requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous call center or customer service experience.
  • Pharmacy technician certificate and license.
  • Experience with healthcare communication and problem resolution.

Pay and Benefits
