Job description

Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician is an exciting staff-level opportunity at MultiCare, assisting in manipulative and non-discretionary functions of the practice of pharmacy. In this role, you will apply your organizational skills and attention to detail for successful daily work operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in ordering of supplies from wholesaler and direct accounts, and verifies items received against invoices
  • Store items received and assist in maintaining stock levels, to include dating and initialing invoices and/or packing slips upon receipt
  • Enter customer's medication and billing information into computer system
  • Answer and screen telephone calls and forwards as needed
  • Perform extemporaneous compounding under pharmacist supervision

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Washington State Department of Health
  • Successful completion of National Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (preferred)
  • Retail pharmacy experience (retail only)
