Position Summary:

The compost helper will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the compost department. This may include but not limited to surveying incoming loads, maintaining equipment, clearing the grounds, and operating a water truck as necessary.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Survey inbound compost loads for contamination, remove any prohibited items, and notify management when necessary

  • Assist Heavy Equipment Operators with cleaning and maintaining rolling and fixed equipment for daily operations

  • Maintain and clean the Compost Operations grounds to ensure safety and clearance of operations

  • Coordinate with lead point personnel for small projects (such as landscaping, addressing compliance complaints etc.)

  • Operate a water truck as necessary for compost operational needs

  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned

Experience and Competencies:

  • High School Diploma Preferred

  • Valid Driver's License

  • At least 1 year of work experience

  • Must work in a team-oriented fashion

  • Must adhere to and follow all company safety policies and procedures

Pay Rate:

  • $19-$22 per hour
