Job description

Paramount Events is seeking a dependable and hardworking Utility Team Member to support the daily operations of one of our corporate dining accounts. This role is responsible for maintaining clean and organized kitchen and dining areas, washing cookware and dinnerware, assisting with waste removal, and supporting overall sanitation and food safety standards. The ideal candidate is reliable, works well in a team environment, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.
Duties and Responsibilities for Utility :
  • Maintain a consistent work pace, and effectively use one's time
  • Wash cookware and dinnerware in appropriate areas
  • Sweep and mop floors as needed
  • Take out garbage, recycling, and compost to appropriate disposal areas; as needed
  • Note when cleaning products are needed, and sharing Culinary Management
  • Follow schedule, alert supervisor when there is a conflict
  • Uphold sanitation and food safety standards, maintaining clean and tidy work areas
  • Ensure all opening/closing duties are being met correctly and consistently
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is being handled properly when in use and stored properly when not in use, note when equipment/items are not functioning

Requirements
  • Food Handler's certification
  • Basic ware washing knowledge, ability to wash pots, pans, dinnerware
  • Basic cleaning knowledge, ability to sweep, mop, deep clean equipment
  • Effectively prioritize tasks while demonstrating good time management
  • Work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and lift at least 40 pounds
