Responsibilities
Be the Heart of the Building
We're looking for a reliable, hard-working Porter to help keep our community clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone who walks through the door. You'll support the building from the ground up-inside and out-by keeping common areas clean, assisting with move-ins, and helping maintain our high standards. If you take pride in a job well done and want to be part of a strong team, we'd love to meet you.
Schedule
  • Monday: 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Tuesday: Off
  • Wednesday: Off
  • Thursday: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
  • Friday: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
  • Saturday: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
  • Sunday: 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM

What You'll Do:
Grounds & Common Areas
  • Sweep sidewalks, terraces, lobbies, and hallways
  • Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the building
  • Respond quickly to spills, weather-related messes, or other safety hazards

Cleaning & Detailing
  • Clean and polish floors, glass, mirrors, brass, and woodwork
  • Deep clean as needed (carpet cleaning, grout scrubbing, waxing floors)
  • Maintain the laundry room, fitness center, and management offices
  • Report any damage or safety issues to the Resident Manager

Building Maintenance Support
  • Clean stairwells, service areas, and the compactor room
  • Change light bulbs and help prepare units for new residents
  • Use building systems to log tasks and report ongoing issues

Special Projects & Events
  • Help set up and clean shared spaces like lounges, rooftops, and gyms
  • Support building events and gatherings by helping with logistics and cleanup
  • Keep shared spaces looking welcoming and refreshed

Sustainability & Safety
  • Keep elevators, trash rooms, and amenity areas clean and odor-free
  • Support recycling and compost programs
  • Perform scent and cleanliness checks to ensure the building feels fresh
  • Participate in team meetings and be open to cross-training

Compensation:
  • $22.82 / hour
  • Local 1 Union Benefits

Qualifications
What You Bring:
  • A strong work ethic and a helpful attitude
  • Experience in janitorial, porter, or cleaning roles is a plus
  • Comfort working indoors and outdoors in all seasons
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for most of the shift
  • High attention to detail and pride in cleanliness
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
