Job Description:

Senior Quality Engineering Associate is responsible for Quality Management of work performed for the prototype, manufacture, and production of Unmanned Air Vehicles.

Essential Functions:

  • Read and interpret Technical Drawings per ASME Y14.5-2009 with extensive working knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Inspect machined, composite, and formed parts and assemblies for conformity to design data.
  • Inspect wiring harnesses and electrical assemblies for conformity to design data.
  • Document and communicate product and process non-conformances and coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, Configuration Management or suppliers to resolve technical/quality issues.
  • Perform technically complex failure analysis investigations, root cause determination and effective and timely corrective actions, including proactive measures.

Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain any additional clearances as required.
  • Requires Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience, or Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience, or in lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Working knowledge of ISO and AS quality standards and procedures.
  • Experience using 3D CAD software
  • Understanding of root cause corrective action and continuous improvementprinciples.
  • Hands on experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership and communication skills written and oral; able to collect, organize, analyze and present on various quality data reports clearly.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is: $73,000.00 - $136,000.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
