Job description

Combilift Depot is seeking a Mechanical Designer to work at our Tomball/Houston office. Your position will require you to design & improve mechanical components & attachments for forklifts and other related projects. We are looking for a long-term employee to join our team as we expand throughout Texas & Louisiana.

Job Duties:

  • Design and Draw Parts & Components using SolidWorks.
  • Work with the fabrication department to insure drawings are followed.
  • Inspecting parts & components as they're received.
  • Sourcing components & organizing bids for fabricated items.
  • Working closely with management to come up with better design and fabrication processes.
  • Organize drawings within the server.
  • Keeping your work area clean.
  • Fill out legible paperwork.
  • Be a team player and work with other employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • >1 Year of CURRENT mechanical design experience
  • Must be knowledgeable in SolidWorks
  • Able to use a micrometer, tape measure, & caliper.
  • Reliable transportation to get to work.
  • Professional Appearance.
  • Read/Write.
  • Positive attitude & team player.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Able to work Monday thru Friday – must be reliable and show up to work every day.
  • Able to communicate directly with others around you.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or 12 months recent verifiable experience.
  • Must be able to pass drug test & background check.

Combilift Depot was established in 2007 as a family owned and operated forklift dealership specializing in selling, renting, and servicing niche forklifts and attachments to end users. The company has grown to be one of the largest Combilift dealership in the country and currently operates out of 4 physical locations: Tomball (Houston), DFW, San Antonio, and Lafayette. As our company continues to grow, we are looking to add qualified employees to our team.
